Who wouldn't want a relaxing day at the spa - can you already feel the stress melting away and the stiff shoulders relaxing, just by thinking about it?

The problem, however, is that while a spa day would do wonders for your physical and mental health, it's too expensive to frequent! Most spas charge by the hour for treatments like massages, while even basic facial and hair care treatments can break your budget.

For that reason, we've compiled a list of things you can do to give yourself the ultimate DIY spa day at home - for a fraction of the cost. Get ready to unplug and enjoy unparalleled bliss!

Set the stage

You'd be surprised how drastically different your own bathroom can look if you just give it a good rub-down and some new accessories. A clean bathroom, fresh towels, a soothing aroma therapeutic candle, dim lighting, and a tub full of warm water are just what you need to unwind and have a relaxing evening.

Make sure you unplug yourself from all devices and give yourself a digital Detox at the same time. And no pets or significant other either - this is your me-time. So get into a cozy bathrobe and give yourself the reboot you need.

Plan the evening

There are two types of people - the ones who prefer to shower and the ones who prefer to bathe. If you're a shower-lover, you can spend your time applying face masks, listening to music, reading a relaxing book, and scrubbing yourself gently to get rid of dead skin. If you're a bath lover, you can also do all these things, but before getting into the tub.

Take your time shampooing and scrubbing and soaking. File your nails and dry-scrub your body. Dry scrubbing exfoliates and also improves blood circulation and releases stress and tension.

Slather on a hair mask

Think of a hair mask like a nourishing facial for the hair. A good hair mask helps with dry, damaged, fragile, colored, and treated hair. Most hair masks are a bit pricey, but you can even make very effective hair masks for yourself at home. Mix honey, yogurt, egg, and a small amount of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice - that's a power-packed treatment for your hair and helps with dandruff, hair growth, and strength, and shine. And don't be stingy with your mask! Apply generously and use a wide-tooth comb to spread it evenly through your hair.

You can also apply a good virgin coconut oil for hair growth beforehand. The best coconut oil for hair treatment is the one you apply slightly warm - because it absorbs better and helps improve blood circulation in the scalp as well. You can also give yourself a gentle scalp massage after you've washed your hair. At Earthly Body Beauty, we have the best virgin coconut oil for hair that gives fantastic results if used regularly.

Apply a face mask

This is one of the most important components of your DIY spa. A good nourishing and hydrating face mask will give your skin an instant glow up - that's because it contains all the ingredients that your skin is thirsty for and your skin will drink it all up!

You can buy our popular CBD face mask wholesale. CBD face masks contain anti-inflammatory properties that help treat conditions like eczema, acne, and psoriasis. Regardless, any mask you apply should be applied to a makeup-free and freshly-cleansed face.

Do an under-eye mask

The eyes are the window to the soul - and we couldn't agree more! If you're overworked, tired, stressed, or haven't had a good night's sleep in a while, the area around your eyes will show it. Including an under-eye treatment in your spa night will really help freshen your face up because eye masks include de-puffing ingredients like caffeine and soothing ingredients like cucumber and Aloe Vera. We recommend that you chill your masks before using because that will reduce swelling and itchiness.

Use them at the end of the spa night for the perfect end to a perfect day.

Relax in a steamy tub or shower.

Water has a lot of soothing properties, whether you're sitting at the beach and watching the waves or soaking in a tub of warm water. Amplify the benefits of a good soak by adding a soothing essential oil like lavender to the water, bath salts, and maybe even rose petals for some fragrance.

Epsom salts and sea salts added to the tub help reduce bloating, soothe sore muscles, reduce inflammation, and release stress. And if you're a shower-lover, running hot water will fill up the bathroom with steam and give you a sauna-like effect. You can also use a bath wash with a soothing lavender fragrance and sip some peppermint tea to relieve stress.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

Hot water can strip your skin of its hydration so it's important to moisturize as soon as you're done. Choose a rich, nourishing, and hydrating moisturizer or cream to give yourself a head-to-toe application. An added bonus would be to use a cream that has a soft, soothing fragrance.

Pamper your feet

Wouldn't it be wonderful to soak your aching and callused feet into warm water and have all the soreness melts away like magic? You can use our CBD foot mask specifically designed to target dry and fatigued skin and contains skin-softening agents (like various oils) to make your feet feel as smooth as a baby's.

Once you're done, cut and trim your nails, apply a deep-moisturizing cream and massage between the toes, over the heels, and on the balls of the feet and the arches. You can also use a foot scrub and a scrubbing tool to get rid of dead skin.

Get ready for a great night's sleep!

Once you're done pampering yourself fully and feel thoroughly relaxed, slip into some soft and comfortable pajamas and spray your pillow with a soothing mist like lavender or rose. Apply a lip balm to hydrate your lips, put on an eye mask to block out all light, and then turn your phone and other devices off - when you wake up, you'll feel beautiful, refreshed, and blissfully happy.
